I know it's a little earl, but I am READY to get started on my $20 challenge.
My goal this year is to put away $1500 by Dec. 1st -- $500 to the emergency fund and $1000 for Christmas (for gift buying).
I have earned $14.48 from ebates that I will start the account with (although I won't have the money until Feb. 15th.)
I'm gonna try to do an automatic debit each pay for the challenge... Hopefully it will be smooth...
Hurray! I met my savings goal of $1k by 12/1.
I also was able to pay off one of my credit cards (Dell) that raised my APR to 30.9% when my payment posted HOURS after the due date. So long Dell, nice knowin ya. My balance was $4k, and I was paying $130-ish dollars a month. It will be nice to have that extra $130 a month to save...
I'm thinking about my goals for 2009. I'll have to get started on those soon.
Found a lotto ticket my hubby bought -- a $3 winner.
Got a $0.62 credit balance refund check from a bill that was overpaid.
Returned two shirts that didn't fit for $28 that goes into the ING account...
Still waiting on the $10 MySurvey check.
